Project Name: Establishment of Estonian-Dutch Poultry Integration (1999-2000)

Description: The joint Dutch-Estonian establishment of a poultry integration, starting with the introduction of Dutch production technology in the broiler breeding and growing, followed by a stepwise improvement of links in the production chain: feed, hatchery, slaughtering; ending with the processing and marketing of improved poultry products. The objective is to upgrade the operation of the Estonian – Dutch integration toward EU-level for livestock and eggs output (sanitary, quality, veterinary and animal welfare issues). As for the slaughterhouse and processing assessment is concerned, the project activities will lead to an improvement plan and the implementation of HACCP in the processing plant according EU-requirements.
