Project Name: Business development in Horticultural green house production in Turkey (2008-2011)
Description: The EVD 2G@there programme facilitates a composition of activities aiming at the strengthening of the Dutch export of green house technology to Turkey. Also the commercial cooperation between Turkish and Dutch companies is enhanced. Activities include market study, establishment of Turkish Innovation Centre for the Greenhouse sector, Set up of permanent representative office and initiate Government to Government co-operation in order to enhance the development of Turkish greenhouse food production sector
Assignment: EVD program in co-operation with Dutch ministry of Agriculture, in co-operation with AVAG (association of Green house technology producers) and Wageningen University and Research. Appr. 20 other companies and organizations are participating.

Project Name: Turkey (2006 – 2008). Determination of undesirable substances and the authenticity of foodstuffs and feeding stuffs in Turkey : PPA05/TR/9/1
Description: Assisting the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, General Directorate for Protection and control (GDPC) and Ankara Provincial Control Laboratory (APCL), with implementation of the relevant EU regulations related to food safety, specifically to the control of undesirable substances, like dioxin and dioxin-related substances in feed and food products. Assistance in upgrading the dioxin unit of the APCL (design, equipment and training of staff).

Project Name: Turkey (2005 – 2007). Institutional Strengthening for residue safe greenhouse production, PPA04/TR/9/5 .VRIAN Projects B.V./Wageningen UR Greenhouse Horticulture (PPO-WUR) AQS/BLGG
Description: Assisting the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs to implement the EU regulations (90/642, 2002/178 and 2002/63) regarding the safety of fruit and vegetables produced by the Turkish greenhouse sector with respect to residue levels of inputs in and on fruit and vegetables.

Description: Assisting the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Under secretariat of Foreign Trade in developing and implementing the administrative and technical measures related to quality control of fresh and processed fruit and vegetables in line with the EU regulations. Informing producers, exporters, importers, traders and consumers on the measures related to the EU regulations for quality control on fresh and processed fruit and vegetables.

Project Name: Practical Implementation of the Council Regulation 339/93/EC on Checks on Conformity with the Rules on Product Safety in the case of Products Imported from Third Countries and Amendment Decision 98/583/EEC (2003 – 2004)

Description: According the EU requirements the Turkish Customs and market surveillance bodies are assisted to streamline the administrative and inspection procedures. The co-ordination between four ministries is institutionalised. In three pilots the border inspection and procedures of market surveillance will be implemented. The administrative and information system of customs and market surveillance bodies are harmonised and inter-linked.

Project Name: Improving the registered milk production and food safety on milk.(2005 – 2007) Project number PPA04/TR/9/4

Description: Project aims to assist Turkey in the implementation of EU policy regulations regarding the quality of dairy products that are incorporated in decision 92/46/EEC on health rules for the production and placing on the market of raw milk
